Bishnah, Jan 15: MLA Bishnah, Dr Rajeev Kumar Bhagat on Wednesday conducted a meeting with officials from the Rural Development Department (RDD). The meeting, attended by the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Miran Sahib and his staff, focused on the progress of various CAPEX initiatives and the selection process for beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
During the discussions, MLA Bhagat called for ensuring quality in project execution. He urged the department to adhere strictly to the Standard Quality Measures. The BDO Miran Sahib assured the MLA that all directives would be implemented effectively and diligently.
Following the meeting, Dr Rajeev visited Panchayat Kahiri and Panchayat Majua Uttami, where he inaugurated several development projects worth Rs 46 lakh, including the construction of lanes and drains, a boundary wall at Shamsham Ghat, and the installation of solar lights. Residents of the area expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MLA for addressing their long-standing demands.
Addressing a gathering of locals, the MLA reassured the people of his commitment to transforming Bishnah into a model constituency. “The love and support you have shown me during elections inspires me to work tirelessly for your welfare,” he said. “It is my prime responsibility to ensure the improvement of living standards and to cater to every aspect of your lives.”
