‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Voice of Youth,’

Ganderbal, Nov 15: Under the aegis of ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Voice of Youth,’ Central University of Kashmir’s Department of Convergent Journalism (DCJ) organised an interactive session while the Department of Tourism Studies (DTS), organised a lecture cum discussion.
During the DCJ session on “Viksit Bharat @2047: Ideas for the Vision,” Dean Academic Affairs and SOMS, Prof. Shahid Rasool said the exercise initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi Ji would prove beneficial in defining and refining India’s goal for becoming a developed country by 2047. Prof. Shahid said the nation’s development depends on the “quality of education” imparted to its youth. He suggested that the “economic opportunities” for people need to improve to achieve the nation’s goals for 2047.
HoD, Dr Arif Nazir emphasized on prioritizing the sectors of education and healthcare. “Quality education and good healthcare should be two major fields where India needs to focus in order to achieve the status of a developed nation in 2047,” he said.
Dr. John Babu, Sr. Asst Prof. said that to achieve the goals set for 2047, India has to safeguard its great democratic values. “India has a beautiful constitution and it becomes our duty to uphold the values of secularism and democracy in every sense.”
Dr. Nooka Raju, Asst Prof. who moderated the session, highlighted the objectives of Viksit Bharat “Ideas For the Vision” campaign and invited the participants including the students and scholars to share their ideas. Dr. Asif Khan, Sr Asst Prof. DCJ, Dr. Akhter Bhat, Asst Prof and Dr. Nayeem were present.
Meanwhile, the Department of Tourism Studies, organised a lecture cum discussion on the theme “Youth Engagement-Idea Generation in Tourism”.
Coordinator-DTS, Dr. Ashaq Hussain Najar, asked the students to come up with innovative ideas about economic growth, tourism, environmental sustainability, good governance and social progression. He reiterated that it is important to rope in the students of universities and colleges for meeting the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047.
Dr. Abid Suhail Nika, Asst Prof. highlighted different schemes that have been given impetus under the leadership of Hon’ble PM-Shri Narendra Modi for the overall growth of the nation. Ms. Ifra and Ms. Sheeza (MTTM Ist Sem Students), made their presentations on the aforementioned theme.  
Dr. Abid Suhail Nika moderated the event and Dr. Adil Amin Nazki,  Asst Prof. presented the vote of thanks. Faculty and students were present on the occasion.
