JAMMU, Jun 09: In a major success against cross border narco-terror module, three key conduits, involved in Rs 150 crore narcotics recovery case in Sunderbani area, were arrested by security forces in the Poonch border district on Friday.
“The apprehending of three main conduits or operatives is a major blow to the complex cross border narco-terror nexus being operated from POJK,” the Defence PRO, Lt Col Devendra Anand told Rising Kashmir, adding that extensive joint search operations are still going on.
All those apprehended in connection with cross border narco-terror module are residents of Poonch.
Defence PRO, Lt Col Devendra Anand, further said, “In the multiple joint operations launched by the Indian Army and the JKP (Poonch/Sunderbani Police) after the Sunderbani narcotics recovery case, three main conduits or operatives have been apprehended by the security forces in the last 72 hours”.
The Defence PRO said that extensive joint search operations is in progress. “In the joint search operations, war-like stores including two grenades have also been recovered by the security forces from the possession of the cross border narco-terror module operatives”.
The cross border narco-terror module operatives apprehended by the security forces have been identified as Shakar Din, a resident of Degwar Terwan Village, Rashid and Shafir, son of Mohd Hussain, both residents of Kalas Village of border district Poonch.
