Katra, Feb 27: The School of Business at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Thursday organised Sambandh – a Management Conclave on Digital Transformation, bringing together industry leaders and academicians to discuss emerging trends in AI, automation and blockchain.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar, the Chief Guest, emphasised the need for continuous curriculum updates and stronger industry collaborations to equip students with Tech 4.0 skills and an analytical mindset. Prof. Jyoti Sharma, Head of the School of Business, highlighted the crucial role of digital transformation in shaping future business strategies, focusing on automation, AI, and industry partnerships. The event featured distinguished speakers, including experts from Siemens, IBM, IndusInd Bank, Kyndryl, and Publicis Sapient, who shared insights on AI-driven decision-making, cybersecurity, predictive analytics, and automation. A panel discussion on Web 4.0 explored AI’s impact on business, culture, and the economy, stressing the need for ethical AI adoption to ensure equitable benefits. The conclave saw enthusiastic participation from MBA, BBA, and Economics students, offering them a valuable platform to engage with industry experts and gain real-world insights into technology-driven corporate landscapes.
