Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said that it has arrested six drug peddlers and recovered 4 Kgs of contraband Poppy Straw, 190 grams of Charas & 1 gram Brown Sugar like substances in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police spokesperson said, under the supervision of Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by Inspr Irfan Ahmad, SHO PS Chandoosa arrested drug peddler namely Amir Hussain Dar S/O Mohd Sultan Dar R/O Wagoora during naka checking at Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa.
“During his personal search 50 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately”, he said.
He said that Police under the supervision of Imtiyaz Ahmad-JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspr. Tawseef Habib, SHO PS Tangmarg arrested Drug Peddler namely Parvaiz Ahmad Lone S/O Ab Rashid Lone R/O Ferozpora Tangmarg during naka checking at Ferozpora Tangmarg*
During his personal search 30 grams of contraband Charas* like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
A spokesperson said that Police under the supervision of Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by PSI Sameer Ahmad, IC PP Wagoora arrested Drug Peddler namely Abdul Hameed Najar S/O Mohd Akbar Najar R/O Goshbug who was coming from Durhama towards Kreeri and was carrying nylon bag during naka checking at Durhama Wagoora and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the naka but were apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search and of the bag 4Kgs of contraband Poppy Straw & 1 gram Brown Sugar like substance was recovered and was taken into custody immediately.
Police under the supervision of Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspr Nisar Ahmad, SHO PS Kunzer arrested Drug Peddler namely Manzoor Ahmad Hajam S/O Mohd Sultan Hajam R/O Tarhama Kunzer who was coming from Hardu Aboora towards Hardu Aboora Bridge and upon seeing the Patrolling party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During personal search 25 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Police under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob. Naveed Ahmad Qazi, SHO PS Baramulla arrested 2 Drug Peddlers namely Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Tariq Ahmad Khan Ss/O Gh Nabi Khan both residents of Janbazpora Baramulla during naka checking at Janbazpora Baramulla who were coming from Chakloo towards Baramulla and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During their personal search 85 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately.
Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Chandoosa/ Tangmarg/ Kreeri/ Kunzer & Baramulla and investigations set in motion.
