Jammu, Oct06 -Rotary Club Jammu Baahu donated Desks for one classroom at Naveen Shiksha Kendra (NSK) High School at Channi Himmat.
The school is being run by SAVERA, a non-government organisation (NGO). The gift is part of an ongoing support system that Rotary Club Jammu Baahu has been extending to the school which is imparting quality education to children who come from an underprivileged background.
Speaking on the occasion Sourabh Sethi, President of Rotary Club Jammu Baahu congratulated the management of the school for their service towards the cause of imparting quality education to children who come from a poor background. The fact that one of the students of the school had secured over 95% marks in the Board Examination recently is the proof of the quality education being imparted in the school, he said. He also said that Rotary Club would also consider supplying winter uniforms to all the students of the school.
P.C.Kapoor, President of SAVERA, the NGO that runs the School, thanked Rotary Club of Jammu Baahu for their generous gift. He also praised the superior quality and build of the Desks and said that these were most suitable for the students.
Interact Club Jammu Baahu, comprising of the students of the School, was given new projects for completion before Diwali that would generate resources for their Interact Club and the School.
Other members of Rotary Club Jammu Baahu who were present on the occasion include Adeep Mehta, Harsh Nair and Ravinder Kaul.
