Jammu, Nov 27: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sunday asked the government to ensure elaborate security arrangements for maintenance of peace in the wake of recent recoveries of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in different parts of J&K.
In a press statement, Aam Aadmi Party’s State Coordination Committee Co-incharge Mehraj Malik said that Jammu and Kashmir is a sensitive region where security should remain a top concern for maintenance of peace and order.
He added that in the last couple of days, recovery of explosives (IEDs) from different locations has created a cause of concern.
“IEDs have been recovered recently in different areas that include Ramban, Kulgam and Shopian and this all is a serious concern as it shows that attempts are being made to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Malik.
Jammu and Kashmir government as well as the Ministry of Home affairs should make sure that all attempts to disrupt peace are foiled and the situation remains peaceful in all aspects, he added.
