Prioritise dev planning based on local feedback: MLA Kulgam to officers

Kulgam, Oct 31: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kulgam Assembly Constituency, M. Y. Tarigami on Thursday called upon officers to project developmental demands with meticulous planning based on the requirements and feedback of the local public.
“The efficient public service delivery must be the priority and advised for the realisation of the agricultural, industrial and tourism potential of the district to the fullest,” he said while chairing an introductory cum review meeting with district and sectoral officers of the district at Mini Secretariat, Kulgam. DDC Chairperson M. Afzal Parray; Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan; and DDC Member M. Abass were present at the event.
On the occasion, officers briefed the chair regarding department-wise activities, development, and welfare initiatives being undertaken in the Kulgam Assembly Constituency. The MLA took appraisal of various developmental issues pertaining to road connectivity, water supply, health sector initiatives and upgrades, school education, accelerating the irrigation canal network, rural development, horticulture, agriculture works and schemes, and other issues of public importance.
Tarigami discussed and deliberated on various public welfare measures and sought details of ongoing activities and requirements, department-wise. He laid particular focus on and prioritized key administrative and development initiatives for the constituency.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner apprised the chair about the district profile, vital projects under execution, and various initiatives of good governance being taken in Kulgam district. The meeting was attended by the ACR and other officers.
