Ganderbal, Aug 13: The District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson, Ganderbal, NuzhatIshfaq Saturday unfurled tricolor in presence of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir within the premises of DDC Office Dumikadal, here.
DDC Vice-Chairman, DDC members, BDC, Sarpanchs and Panchs, and Civil Society members were also present on the occasion, the official spokesperson said.
After unfurling the tricolor, the national anthem was sung by the DDC Chairperson along with all participants present on the occasion.
“Am really proud to have taken part in the ‘AzadikaAmritMahotsav,’ and the initiative will certainly help to strengthen the love for the country,” said the DDC Chairperson Ganderbal.
She appealed to all citizens to hoist the tricolour at their homes and celebrate the spirit of ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’ with full fervour and patriotism.
Meanwhile, DDC Chairperson along with DC Ganderbal inspected the building being constructed for Residential Accommodation for PRI’s/Protected persons.
