Rajesh Gupta, Secretary and Rajesh Gupta Treasurer on Wednesday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss various issues related to Amarnath yatra.According to a statement issued here, it was informed that the number of Amarnath Yatris is increasing day by day and the administration is taking every possible step to ensure a safe and peaceful Amarnath Yatra.Gupta said that there is a need to increase the token counters for facilitating the Amarnath yatris. Besides,   there is urgent need to enhance the security arrangements as this year’s Amarnath Yatra marks the first major religious event in J&K since the devastating Pahalgam terror attack and subsequent operation Sindoor.Arun Gupta urged to take up the issue relating to extension of Industrial Package of Rs. 28400 crores with the Union Government so that the Industrial Units who have applied well within time can get the benefit of this industrial package. He further called for the need to start a new train between Jammu-Haridwar and vice versa on a daily basis with the Union Railway Ministry.
