JAMMU, July 26: Under ‘Operation Sadhbhavna,’ the Army has inaugurated the first fully digitized school in the cross-border shelling-prone Village Nakarkote, District Poonch, Jammu region.
“This initiative, the opening of a fully digital school, aims to provide high-quality education and ensure a bright future for children who have long been deprived of quality education due to disruptive actions of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and cross-border shelling,” said PRO Defence Suneel Bartwal.
Established in collaboration with eVidhyaLoka as part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), the Middle School in Nakarkote is the first fully digitized school in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). The school will feature ‘Smart Classes’ and state-of-the-art facilities, blending conventional teaching methods with advanced digital tools.
The project aims to revolutionize education in remote and conflict-prone areas of Jammu & Kashmir. It reflects a significant investment in the future of young minds and the region’s long-term peace and development.
Operation Sadbhavana, the Army’s flagship socio-economic initiative, has long been dedicated to supporting the community through various developmental projects. This new school will incorporate cutting-edge educational technologies, interactive digital content, and real-time virtual classrooms, ensuring that students in these remote areas receive the highest quality education.
