Baramulla, Nov 24: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, alongside Joint Director Planning, M. Yousuf Rather, and Chief Education Officer, Balbir Singh Raina Friday launched the “Noor” campaign in Baramulla.
The campaign, a digital door-to-door initiative by the Education Department, aims to reintegrate out-of-school children into the formal education system.
Dr. Sehrish praised the dedicated efforts of the education department in addressing the issue of dropout students.
The initiative aligns with the Aspirational District Programme, focusing on crucial indicators for educational improvement.
The DC highlighted the significance of leveraging technology and urged appointed zonal coordinators to maximize its use for the program’s success.
As part of the initiative, the “Noor” Mobile application (Multi Reporting Tool) was introduced to conduct a digital survey at the Panchayat and ULB levels to trace out-of-school children.
Additionally, an e-repository of recorded video lectures for NEET and IIT aspirants in 11th and 12th grades, prepared from the CEO’s Digital Studio and managed by the Teacher Informatics Center (TIC), was inaugurated.
As part of the Aspirational District Programme, Dr. Sehrish distributed tablets among program coordinators from all 18 zones in the district.
These tablets aim to streamline data collection at the zonal level, facilitating comprehensive reporting across various centrally sponsored programs.
CEO Balbir Singh Raina expressed gratitude for the district administration’s unwavering support in aligning with the educational objectives of the Aspirational District Programme.
