Kulgam, Apr 07: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson and Media Management in charge of J&K UT, Rajni Sethi, on Sunday alleged that the primary responsibility for the “destruction” witnessed in J&K over the past 70 years lies with the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
During her visit to south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Sethi said the BJP is pressing forward with a target of 400+ seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
“We are exerting efforts, and the people of Kashmir desire a shift in the political scenario. They have become acquainted with the track record of NC and PDP, and they trust in the accomplishments of Narendra Modi ji, yearning for his another term in 2024,” she said.
Rajni said that many women joined on Sunday, expressing contentment with the progress over the years, including initiatives like the golden card and free ration. A few local issues are there that the district BJP unit plans to address, she said.
Sethi said, “Kashmir seeks change; it yearns to discard the NC and PDP, favouring the BJP once more, for which we are actively engaging with the community.”
Holding the NC and PDP responsible for the “destruction” in J&K over the past 70 years, she labelled them as “anti-national” parties. She attributed the lack of development to the preoccupation of these parties with their own interests.
“People remain trapped in the same dire circumstances as seven decades ago. Over the past ten days, I have spoken with many who lament the legacy of these parties, which they believe has only led to more graves,” she said.
Asserting PM Modi’s commitment to zero tolerance for terrorism, Rajni reiterated the party’s dedication to winning hearts and fostering development. This election, she stressed, will be a choice between perpetuating separatism or opting for a party that combats terrorism while empowering citizens with tools like laptops and pens.
Sethi was accompanied by BJP District President Kulgam Zubair Ahmad Ganie and other party members.
