Budgam, Dec 24: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has asked the consumers to clear the pending electricity bills and take advantage of the Amnesty Scheme 2022 in Budgam district.
Executive Engineer of the KPDCL Electric Division Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Laway, told the Rising Kashmir that consumers whose electricity bills are pending for a long period can clear their bills under the Amnesty Scheme 2022. In which their interest and late fee amount will not be taken from the consumers. Only the principal amount of electricity bills will have to be paid by the consumers to the department.
“The consumers need to fill out the Amnesty Scheme form in their concerned sub-divisions. In which they have to pay the pending principal amount of their electricity bills in installments. “Late fees and interest amounts will be waived for these consumers,” Laway said.
He said that most of the consumers across the Budgam district are taking advantage of the Amnesty Scheme 2022.
“The consumers in the various villages who have remained defaulters their electricity connections will get disconnected.” .
