J&K Govt allocats vehicles & security for newly elected legislators

JAMMU, Dec 11: The Jammu and Kashmir government has allocated vehicles, drivers, and security to all newly elected MLAs of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
BJP MLA from Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, confirmed the development, stating that all MLAs were today provided with black-coloured Scorpios, along with drivers. “The remaining MLAs will receive their vehicles in a day or two, once all formalities are completed,” he added.
While the vehicles, drivers, and security are provided by the government, the MLAs will bear the cost of fuel. The agreement with Mahindra Motors includes a fleet of 90 Scorpios for the 90 MLAs, including 43 from the Jammu region and 47 from the Kashmir region.
Additionally, the government will cover the maintenance costs of the vehicles throughout the five-year term of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
