JD(U) holds State Executive Meeting in Sgr

Srinagar, July 03: The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday conducted a State Executive Meeting in Srinagar to strategise for the upcoming assembly elections and discuss preparations for an upcoming Jalsa.
The meeting, which focused on implementing plans and engaging with local residents, saw a key announcement from G M Shaheen, the party president, an official press release issued here said.
Shaheen declared the party’s commitment to securing the release of individuals alleged to be involved in stone-pelting incidents. This move aims to address the concerns of affected families and youth, the statement added.
Shaheed said scores of youth have been jailed on charges of stone-pelting and their families are yearning for their release. “I have personally spoken with many parents and assured them of our full support in securing the release of their loved ones,” he said.
The meeting was attended by several prominent JD(U) leaders, including Ajaz Khan, Vivek Bali, Dr Md Ayub, Syed Amjid Rizvi, G M Ashraf, Mustafa Nazir, Riyaz Ah Malik, Sagar Shabir, and Gulshan Sanotra, among others.
The (JD(U)) leaders discussed various strategies to enhance the party’s presence and performance in the region. They reiterated their commitment to the development and welfare of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
