Jammu, Nov 06: The Aam Aadmi Party has intensified its door-to-door public awareness campaign in Jammu and distributed pamphlets to people, highlighting “transformative” initiatives undertaken by the AAP government in Delhi.
According to a party statement, the AAP leader including S. Amrik Singh, President of Ward No. 32, Romesh Lal Bhagat, Vice President of District Jammu Rural, Adv. Dalvinder Kumar, and Bansi Lal, emphasized their commitment to providing a clean and tested alternative to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, aiming to eliminate the “75 years of misrule marked by corruption, nepotism, casteism, and divisive politics based on religion and region”.
They underscored the 4-point “magical mantra” of the Delhi model, which includes free electricity up to 200 units without any cuts, free potable water up to 20,000 liters per household, doorstep healthcare through Mohalla clinics, and quality education in government institutions. Additionally, they mentioned the provision of free Char Dham yatra for senior citizens, free Metro and bus services for women irrespective of caste or creed, and several other social welfare schemes that have transformed the lives of Delhi residents.
The AAP leaders criticized the “prevailing trend of empty promises and deceptive tactics” employed by certain political parties, describing them as ‘Jumla Bazi’ or empty rhetoric. They urged the public to discern the truth and see through the political games played to gain electoral advantage in various states and upcoming national elections in 2024
The leaders expressed their hope that the citizens of the country would recognize the need for a change, embracing ethical values and rewarding good work rather than falling for the misleading narratives and diversionary tactics used by some political entities. They called for a shift in mindset, hoping for a transformation akin to the successful governance models observed in Delhi and Punjab.
