Srinagar, Oct 19: Higher reaches experienced fresh snowfall, while light rain lashed some parts of Kashmir on Wednesday. The Meteorological Department predicted improvement in prevailing weather conditions from October 21st, officials said.
Ski resort Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Gurez in Bandipora, Machil in Kupwara, Tangdar, and Sonamarg in Ganderbal, received light snowfall till late Wednesday night, while isolated rains lashed some areas in plains in the Valley.
Scores of tourists thronged to Gulmarg as the region experienced a fresh spell of snowfall.

“We are expecting light snowfall over high reaches from the 19th evening to October 20th. There will be a gradual improvement in prevailing weather conditions from Thursday afternoon,” he said.
Lotus said there is no forecast of any major snowfall for the next 7-10 days in the J&K and Ladakh regions.
