A foreign tourist died after a massive avalanche hit the ski resort of Gulmarg on Thursday.
Authorities have deployed helicopter services in the ongoing rescue operation for a group of foreign tourists caught in the avalanche.
The Sub-District Magistrate of Gulmarg told Rising Kashmir that a major rescue operation is underway.
The Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla, along with the police, army, and other departments, has reached the spot.
The officer stated that the exact number of trapped individuals is not known yet. However, he confirmed that two foreigners have been rescued alive.
