Jammu, March 04: GGM Science College Friday organised an enlightening expert talk on “Motivation Through Goal Setting,” aimed at guiding students towards a structured approach to success. The event was led by the College Committee for Debates, Seminars and Symposiums in collaboration with the NSS wing, under the esteemed supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the College.
The keynote speaker, Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir, and a distinguished motivational speaker, highlighted the transformative power of goal setting in personal and professional growth. He encouraged students to take the first step with confidence, stating, “Uncertainty is inevitable, but it is our mindset that determines success.”
Uddin emphasised the importance of clear objectives, self-discipline, and determination in achieving one’s aspirations. Through real-life examples and interactive discussions, he provided students with practical, actionable steps to align their goals with a structured plan. The session received an enthusiastic response, with attendees appreciating the motivational insights and strategies shared.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Ashaq Hussain, who introduced the keynote speaker and extended gratitude on behalf of the college. In his closing remarks, Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta expressed deep appreciation for Uddin’s thought-provoking discourse, underscoring the significance of such engagements in shaping young minds. Senior faculty members, including Prof. Vandana Khajuria, Dr. Narinder Kumar, Prof. Shalini Sharma, Dr. Neha Mahajan, Prof. Akanksha Parihar, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Rohit Bhardwaj and Prof. Neha Sharma, NSS Programme Officer, attended the session. The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, where students eagerly interacted with the speaker, seeking guidance on overcoming obstacles in goal implementation.
