Doctors perform complex orthopedic surgery at GMC B’la

Baramulla, Apr 27: The Department of Orthopaedics at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Baramulla successfully performed a challenging and unprecedented orthopedic surgery. 
The team, led by Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah, Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics, performed a fracture dislocation hip surgery using the ilio-inguinal approach (anterior acetabulum approach) to repair a fracture of the anterior wall with column fracture of acetabulum.
The surgery, which was performed by a team of highly skilled orthopedic surgeons including Dr. Mubashir and Dr. Shahnawaz, along with Mr. Jaffar Ahmad, Mr. Javed Ahmad, and Mr. Irshad Ahmad, was the first of its kind in the department. 
The team expressed their gratitude to the administration of GMC Baramulla for their support and for facilitating such challenging procedures.
Medical Superintendent AHGMC Baramulla Dr. Parvaiz Masoodi said that the success of this complex surgery is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the Department of Orthopaedics at GMC Baramulla. 
“The team’s commitment to providing the best possible care to their patients is evident in their achievements, and they continue to strive for excellence in their field,” he said. 
Dr. Parvaiz further said that the GMC Baramulla Department of Orthopaedics is setting a new standard in the field of orthopedic surgery, and their groundbreaking work is sure to inspire other medical professionals in the area and beyond.
