Ganderbal, June 17: CRPF 118 Battalion in the Gund area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with the district hospital Ganderbal.
The camp was formally inaugurated by the Battalion Commandant SHS Yadav in which the CRPF personnel voluntarily came forward to contribute to this noble initiative, an official from the force said, adding that this service for the community was performed by 118 Battalion in conjunction with Medical Superintendent (District Hospital) Ganderbal, CMO Ganderbal and Medical Officer 118 battalion CRPF.
He said 47 units of blood were donated by CRPF on the occasion which will serve as life-saving food to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
While talking to the media, Commander Yadav said that CRPF is providing all kinds of facilities to the public.
Yadav said due to accidents every day, hospitals need blood and this camp was set up to meet the same shortage and to save people’s precious lives.
“CRPF is committed to serving people in the best possible way in the valley and will continue doing such activities in the future,” he said.
