Chandigarh, Jan 09: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Monday demanded resignation of Punjab Chief minister alleging that the administration has completely collapsed and asked the Punjab Governor to intervene.
Reacting to the decision of the PCS officers going on week-long strike in Punjab, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said due to the lopsided and myopic vision of the AAP government, there is unprecedented collapse of administration while leadership has completely failed.
Chugh said the strike reflects how the AAP government has crumbled in the border state. He appealed the Punjab Governor to intervene in this crisis moment of the state and take a report from the AAP government about the abysmal failure of governance.
The BJP leader also expressed serious concern at the Punjab IAS officers’ delegation expressing resentment over the Punjab Vigilance Bureau’s (VB) action against IAS officer Neelima who was recently booked.
He said a delegation of around 50 IAS officers met Chief Secretary VK Janjua and flagged their resentment before them. The officers said that the procedure has not been followed while registering the case against Neelima.
Chugh said the AAP leaders have proved themselves to be thoroughly incompetent to run the state in spite of the big mandate given by the people. He demanded the resignation of chief minister Bhagwnt Mann for his failure to handle the bureaucracy.
He said never in the state has such a situation arisen that could indicate that people are at a loss when officials are not on their desk.
