Samba, July 26: The Apni Party on Friday celebrated Vijay Diwas in Samba district in which the participants paid tributes to the martyr of the Kargil war – Indian Army soldier Kulbir Singh.
The party’s Provincial President, Jammu and former minister, S. Manjit Singh also participated in the Vijay Diwas to mark the victory of the Indian Army in the Kargil war.
Singh paid tributes to the martyr Hawaladar of the Indian Army, Kulbir Singh, who gave the supreme sacrifice in the Kargil war.
As per a press release, the function to pay homage was organised at the village of the martyred soldier – Koulpur in Ramgarh.
Recalling Martyr Kulbir Singh’s contribution, the Apni Party leader hoped that the young generation would follow in the footsteps of the martyred soldiers.
Meanwhile, many prominent people, former PRIs and locals paid their tributes by offering flowers to the statue of the martyred soldier.
