Kulgam, Oct 04: The District Administration Kulgam organised a Mega Block Diwas on Wednesday, focusing on three key blocks within the district. This initiative aimed to assess public issues, grievances, and demands effectively.
The event took place at D.H.Pora, Kulgam, and Devsar blocks, where the administration presented an overview of the actions taken on grievances and issues raised during the previous Block Diwas. Officers and officials from various departments were present to listen to the concerns of the public, ensuring their timely redressal.
At Kulgam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) led a grievance redressal camp, personally engaging with the public to understand their grievances and demands. District administration officers were also present during this interactive session.
During the event, a delegation from Khee-Jogipora advocated for the installation of a Transformer in their village. Similarly, residents from the Redwani area urged for the macadamisation of the remaining portion of Khudwani-Redwani road. Several other communities highlighted the need for the augmentation of the LT power network in their respective areas.
Officers promptly responded to these queries and demands, addressing concerns related to their departments. The ADC patiently heard the public, addressing immediate grievances on the spot. Furthermore, he assured the community that all genuine issues and grievances would be resolved in a time-bound manner.
The District Administration Kulgam remains committed to ensuring the welfare of its citizens and will continue to organize such initiatives to create a more responsive and accountable governance system.
