Kishtwar athletes shine in IDPL Girls Athletics meet

Kishtwar, Dec 02: The athletes of district Kishtwar have bagged two medals in the ongoing two-day Inter-District Provincial Level (IDPL) under-19 Girls and U-17 Girls Athletics meet being held at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex Katra.
The Gold medals were won by Qurat Ul Ain in Javelin U/19 Girls and Palvi Parihar in Javelin U/17 Girls, both students of GHSS Girls Kishtwar.
The Physical Education staff of Kishtwar, under the guidance of DYSSO, Kharati Lal Sharma, imparted training to all these sports persons before the competition. Both students/athletes will now represent the UT of J&K on a national platform.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has extended congratulations to both students for their remarkable achievements. The Sports Department has been applauded for providing the students a platform to showcase their talent at the provincial level.
