Budgam, Mar 01: In order to beautify the Budgam main town, the Municipal Committee Budgam has begun the installation of unique signage in all existing shops in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Mustaq Ahmad Bhat, President of the Municipal Committee Budgam told Rising Kashmir that unique signage has been installed in all shops in the town as a step towards beautification.
“We installed seven-color signage boards in all existing shops because most shopkeepers were using old sign boards that were never changed by the shopkeepers,” Bhat said.
He stated that the name of the shop, phone number, location, and shop number are displayed on the sign boards. After the installation of this unique signage in seven different colors, the Budgam Markets looks very attractive at the present time.
“We are also going to paint the walls of the markets, which will add beauty to the Budgam markets because the majority of the shops are painted in different colors.” when the walls of Budgam’s main town will be painted in the selected colour. “It will also improve the appearance of the Budgam town markets,” Bhat said.
“For the beautification of the main town Budgam, Phase I is going on. We have also started vehicle parking slots in the district headquarters so that people can park their vehicles there without creating traffic jams in the town. In Phase I, the community hall, library, and many other things are under construction in the town. “The majority of the drains have also been constructed under the Phase I project,” he said.
Adding that the main bus stand in Budgam is going to make more attractive. The work in this regard has already started, and the construction work for the clock tower is going on. This move will make the town more attractive.
