Asia’s largest Tulip Garden in Srinagar is set to open for visitors on March 26, with the Chief Minister officially throwing it open to the public. This year, the garden will showcase a breathtaking display of 1.7 million tulips, along with various other spring-blooming flowers.

To enhance visitor experience, authorities have made special arrangements, including wheelchairs, potable water, and lactation rooms.

A significant crowd management measure introduced this year includes an online ticket booking system via the departmental website, alongside physical and UPI-based ticketing options.

Recognizing the issue of traffic congestion, the garden will open at 6 am, allowing visitors to plan their trips early and avoid afternoon rush hours.

“Every year, we experiment with new tulip varieties and color schemes. This year, 74 varieties of tulips will be on display,” official said.

The garden has become a major spring attraction, boosting Kashmir’s tourism sector by attracting early tourists. This influx benefits various local industries, including hotels, houseboats, handicrafts, and agriculture, injecting significant revenue into the region’s economy.

Additionally, the tourism department has opened another scenic spring destination, Almond Valley, which serves as the second-best spring attraction in Kashmir.
