Srinagar, Dec 01: Tourists visiting Kashmir are captivated by its breathtaking beauty and the warm hospitality of its people, with recent snowfall in the higher reaches adding to the allure. Popular destinations like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam have seen a surge in tourists following fresh snow yesterday, transforming the region into a winter wonderland.
A couple from Gujarat, visiting Sonamarg for the first time, shared their excitement with Rising Kashmir. “We have seen snow for the first time in our lives, and it’s an unforgettable experience. The people here are so helpful and kind, contrary to misconceptions,” they said. They expressed gratitude for the assistance they received during visits to Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Dal Lake, emphasizing that “Kashmiris are not cheaters; they are genuinely helpful.”
A group of tourists from Chennai echoed similar sentiments, describing Kashmir as “a paradise on earth.” They urged their fellow Indians to visit the region, saying, “Despite the cold temperatures, the fresh snowfall in Sonamarg has brought us immense joy. Kashmir truly offers a unique experience.”
Another group of friends from Gujarat, whose friendship spans over 30 years, described their visit as extraordinary. “We have travelled to many places, but Sonamarg is truly special. The beauty here is unmatched, and the people are incredibly welcoming. Any rumours about Kashmiris being dishonest are false—we found them to be honest and caring.”
With temperatures dropping and snow-covered landscapes creating postcard-perfect scenes, tourists are making memories in Kashmir that will last a lifetime. Many visitors are urging others to experience the region’s natural beauty and warmth firsthand, declaring it a must-visit destination at least once in life.
