Jammu, Feb 01: The 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police, witnessed thrilling encounters on its third day, on Thursday.
In Match No. 08, Rajasthan Police clashed with Maharashtra Police, emerging victorious with a resounding 7-2 scoreline. The standout performers were Vicky Pandya (JR.No.22), Shoyab Akhtar Qureshi (JR.No.23), Shivam Dhinwan (JR.No.09), and Vijendra Singh Rathore (Jr.No. 27). Vijendra Singh Rathore was declared the Player of the Match for his stellar performance. The Chief Guest for the match was Reyaz Iqbal Tantray, Dy. CO. IRP-16th BN.
Match No. 09 featured a clash between Himachal Pradesh Police and Karnataka Police, with Karnataka Police securing a 4-1 victory. Mankanta (JR.No.09) stood out and was named the Player of the Match. Ramesh Chander Kotwal, CO. IRP-1st Bn, was the Chief Guest.
West Bengal Police triumphed over Puducherry Police in Match No. 10 with a 4-1 scoreline. Dipendu Das (JR.No.03) earned the Player of the Match title for his outstanding contribution. Rakesh Kumar Parihar, Dy. CO IRP -16th BN, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In a high-scoring encounter in Match No. 11, CRPF dominated RPF with an impressive 11-0 victory. Bikash Kujur (JR.No.15) stole the limelight by scoring four goals and was rightfully declared the Player of the Match. Aftab Ahmad Sheikh, Dy. CO. JKAP-6th BN, presided as the Chief Guest.
Tamil Nadu Police secured a 4-0 win against Haryana Police in Match No. 12, with Bala Murugan (JR.No.34) bagging the Player of the Match award for his exceptional performance. Mohd. Aslam, Dy. CO. 1st Women BN, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
In the Women’s category, SSB triumphed over Uttar Pradesh Police in Match No. 03 with a 2-0 victory. Rajni Bala (JR.No. 11) was named the Player of the Match. Surjeet Kumar Bhagat, Dy. CO, IRP-15th BN, was the Chief Guest.
In Match No. 04, Odisha Police dominated Maharashtra Police with a 4-0 win. Priyaka (JR.No. 02) was honored as the Player of the Match, and Rajinder Salgotra, Dy. CO, was the Chief Guest for the match.
