Chadoora, Apr 26: Renowned politician Zaffer Mir (Lasjan) on Wednesday expressed profound appreciation for the visit of Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal to Chadoora Sub-Division, Budgam where he evaluated the agricultural situation in the area and engaged in through discussions with local farmers.
Mir, in a statement, said the inspection of agricultural lands and interactive conversations with farmers to gain an understanding of their needs and concerns is highly commendable as it will aid in effectively upgrading the agriculture sector.
He added that it is crucial for the Agriculture Department to provide technical expertise and support to Chadoora farmers in order to enhance their agricultural practices.
“It is imperative that our farmers remain up-to-date with the contemporary technological advancements that contribute to the exponential growth of their produce and enable them to become self-reliant,” said Mir.
He further stated that introducing farmers to the multi-faceted marketing models formulated by the department would provide them with marketing facilities at their doorsteps.
“These models will enable local farmers of Chadoora to showcase their produce at national and international levels, resulting in maximum returns for their produce,” he added.
Mir lauded the Director Agriculture’s proactive approach towards the welfare of farmers in the Chadoora Constituency.
“This caring approach towards farmers remains unprecedented and will go a long way in boosting the agricultural sector in the region,” he concluded.
