Srinagar, Apr 26: Former Chief Minister of J&K and Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday condemned the attack on Chhattisgarh Police.
In a statement issued to media on Wednesday, Azad said he was anguished by the cowardly attack on the Chhattisgarh Police at Dantewada.
Azad paid rich tributes to those killed in this attack and said that their sacrifices will be remembered. “My prayers and thoughts are with bereaved families”.
Meanwhile Azad also condoled the demise of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and hailed his immense contributions to the State as well as the country.
Shiromani Akali Dal patriarch Badal died at a private hospital in Mohali at the age of 95.
Azad described Badal as a great human being who spent his life for upliftment of the downtrodden and for the welfare of common people.
“Badal will always be remembered for his exceptional leadership, vision, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people. He was also a great political figure who contributed a lot to the nation,” he said.
Azad prayed for eternal peace to departed souls and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
