Srinagar, June 10: Bilaliya Educational Institute (BEI), in collaboration with the J and K Mountain Biking Association, Kashmir, organized a workshop on cycling awareness on Saturday at its main campus in Lal Bazar. The workshop aimed to educate students about the numerous benefits of cycling, both for personal health and the environment.
The workshop featured presentations by esteemed experts Riyaz Ahmad Wani and Mohsin Fayaz, who shared valuable insights and knowledge about the advantages of cycling. Participants learned about the positive impact cycling has on physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall health. Additionally, the experts emphasized the significance of cycling in protecting air quality and reducing fuel consumption.
Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, the visionary leader of BEI, underscored the importance of cycling as an eco-friendly mode of transportation. He expressed his desire for all students to embrace cycling as a means of commuting to school and for other travel purposes. Recognizing the urgency of raising awareness on this sustainable transport option, he announced an upcoming cycling rally to engage the wider public and promote its significance in all aspects.
