Commissioner Secretary, Parks Gardens and Floriculture, Sheikh Fayaz on Thursday said Asia’s largest tulip garden will reopen on March 19 with 1.6 million flowers.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, Shiekh Fayaz said that the department is shaping the arrangements, which are in the final stage, to ensure the opening of the garden on the due date.
The commissioner said everything is in place, and currently the gardeners are pressed into service to plant tulip saplings inside the garden. He said the tulips are almost imported every year, and this year the garden will have 1.6 million flowers, including Cap Knowya, Hamilton, Sweet Heart, and Christmas.
