In view of prevailing inclement weather conditions, the School Education Department on Monday further extended winter vacations for summer zones of Jammu division till January-15.
In this regard a circular has issued by Director of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) which reads, “In supersession to order No. 719 DSEJ of 2023 dated: 09-01-2023, the winter vacations of Government/Private recognized schools functioning in Summer Zones of Jammu Division are further extended till 15-01-2023 due to prevailing inclement weather conditions.”
“However, staff and students involved in preparation for Republic day celebrations shall continue the rehearsal as scheduled,” it reads.
DSEJ also said that any laxity in this regard from any government or private School shall be viewed seriously and dealt under rules.
