Srinagar:  Amitabh Kant, the Government of India’s Sherpa for the G20, praised the Lieutenant Governor-led Jammu and Kashmir administration for making excellent arrangements for delegates from member and invitee countries, as well as other organisations, during the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting here in Srinagar.
Kant praised the JK administration, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, for making superb arrangements, demonstrating amazing hospitality, and expressing warmth and compassion during the G20 Tourism Working Group conference in Srinagar.
“Every single G20 member and delegate appreciated the great work,” he added, adding that they had a nice time since they were able to put in a lot of effort.
“We have been able to see Kashmir, and we have enjoyed the warmth and great affection of the people of Kashmir,” he added, adding that this indicates Kashmir’s immense soft power.
Kant said that the great Sufi culture of Kashmir blends very well with the  philosophy of  G20 theme, “VasudhaivaKutumbakam” which means one earth, one family and one future. He said that all the philosophy of G20 theme is embodied in the Sufism of  Kashmir.
“Therefore, we are all one family and this was truly demonstrated by Jammu and Kashmir administration that we worked as one family to create a great experience of G20,” Kant said, adding that every single delegate has gone back with a fascinating memory.
Kant further said that the delegates will bring back their relatives.  “The delegates will bring a large number of visitors. They will become ambassadors of Kashmir,” he said.
Kant has also been impressed with the Royal Spring Golf Course in Srinagar  where delegates enjoyed playing for few moments.
“ This is the best golf course in India. There can’t be a better golf course than this . This is paradise, an absolute heaven,” he said, adding that this is a unique experience. He suggested all golfers across the world for playing here just to experience what great golfing is all about.
