Addresses officers of Army, Navy & Airforce at Army War College
Srinagar, Aug 06: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today addressed officers of the Army, Navy, and Air Force undergoing the Higher Command Course at the Army War College. The officers and faculty members are currently on a visit to the Northern Front.
During his address, Lt. Governor Sinha emphasized a ‘Whole of Government Approach’ in Jammu & Kashmir’s transformation, highlighting the role of an efficient, effective, and accountable administration. He credited these factors with transforming the government’s operations for the people.
“The improved security situation has propelled J&K UT towards an era of peace, stability, and prosperity, a testament to the resilience and determination of the people,” Sinha stated. He underscored that peace is a prerequisite for progress and prosperity, noting successful efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem and sustain peace and stability. “These measures ensure that the benefits of growth reach all sections of society,” he added.
Lt. Governor Sinha also pointed to the economic revitalization in the region, marked by the fast-paced implementation of various initiatives and development projects. This has boosted the economy, created job opportunities, and enhanced infrastructure. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to social equality and equal access to opportunities, particularly through youth empowerment and skill development initiatives aimed at creating avenues for gainful employment.
Maj. Gen. Gaurav Gautam, faculty members of the Army War College, and senior officers of the Security Forces were present at the event held at Raj Bhawan.
