Ganderbal, Nov 17: Wildlife authorities on Thursday caught a black bear in this central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A Wildlife official told Rising Kashmir that for the last few days, the bear after entering Mufti Mohallah, Gutlibagh, has created a reign of scare among the people of the area.
He said that soon after receiving the information about the bear, a team from the wildlife department along with the control room reached the area and after hectic efforts and the help of locals, the wild animal was captured alive.
In-charge Wildlife Control Room Ganderbal, Shabir Ahmad told Rising Kashmir that a bear was captured alive after being tranquilised. “The bear was later released in Dachigam National Park,” he said.
