Ganderbal, Aug 02: In view of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada, “The Shuchita Sangram”, awareness Camps and Health Checkup camps were organized in various health institutions of district Ganderbal.
These awareness camps were attended by sanitation workers involved in door-to-door waste collection, ASHAs, employees and students of respective Blocks.
Awareness camps were organized at village level during which awareness was generated regarding primary segregation of waste at source.
Sanitary Workers were educated about preventive measures for common diseases and the significance of a clean environment in preventing infections.
These camps offered free medical consultations, blood pressure check up and blood sugar testing for Sanitation workers.
Similarly, Hospital Base Camp Baltal actively participated in the Swachhta Pakhwada initiative to promote health awareness, checkups and screenings.
During the campaign, the Hospital conducted sessions on the importance of personal hygiene, handwashing techniques, and the impact of cleanliness on overall health.
Hospital staff and sanitary workers were also mobilized to clean the hospital premises, ensuring a hygienic environment for patients and visitors.
Earlier, Hepatitis screening at BDO office Wakura by a team of Health workers and doctors of block Wakura was also organised.
The Swachhata Pakhwada campaign aimed to improve sanitation and health practices in the community, emphasizing cleanliness and hygiene for better health outcomes.
The health camps and screenings provided essential medical services to numerous individuals, helping identify health issues early and offering appropriate interventions.
The comprehensive focus on sanitation and health awareness during the Swachhata Pakhwada is contributing to a cleaner and healthier community, fostering an environment of well-being and hygiene.
