Srinagar, May 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir President Sat Sharma on Sunday called for mobilising the party cadre to help the Pakistan shelling-affected people and assess the current organisational structure.
Sharma was accompanied by BJP National Secretary and MLA Dr Narinder Singh, as well as J&K BJP General Secretary and MLA Dr D K Manyal. District President Sheikh Salman, DDC Er Aizaz, and other senior leaders from Srinagar Constituency were present in the meeting.
The agenda of the meeting was also to formulate a strategic roadmap to enhance party outreach and public engagement in the region, the party said in a statement issued here.
Addressing the meeting, Sharma motivated the party leaders to reach out consistently to the shelling-affected families and stand with them in this adverse time. He emphasised the importance of grassroots-level connectivity and urged party workers to engage closely with the people.
“The BJP is committed to inclusive development, peace and progress in the region, along with the welfare measures,” Sharma said. He stressed the need for sustained efforts in spreading the party’s message of good governance and national integration.
Dr Narinder Singh, in his address, commended the dedication of BJP workers in Kashmir despite various challenges. He shared insights from the central leadership and encouraged party cadres to remain focused on public service, especially in the areas of education, youth empowerment, along with much-needed welfare activities at this time.
Dr Manyal laid emphasis on strengthening the booth-level organisation. “The success of any political party lies in the strength of its base,” he said, calling upon party leaders to hold public outreach programmes along with the regular meetings, to ensure party connectivity and responsiveness.
