Pulwama, Dec 25: Senior Superintendent of Police for (SSP) Pulwama, Muhammad Yousuf, has urged the local populace to join hands with law enforcement and the administration for the sake of peace and development in the region.
SP Pulwama was addressing a large gathering of residents at Nehama in Kakapora area of the district during a Police Community Partnership Group Meeting.
SSP unequivocally declared that there is no place for terrorism related activities and drug peddling in Pulwama.
Highlighting the core objective of such initiatives, SSP Pulwama stressed the need to bridge the gaps between the community and the police administration.
The collaborative efforts, he mentioned, are pivotal for the holistic development of the area.
The Police Community Partnership Group meeting, according to SSP Pulwama, is designed to facilitate communication with the local populace, attentively listen to their grievances, and strategize initiatives to address their concerns effectively.
Importantly, SSP Pulwama underscored the stringent stance against terrorism activities and drug trade in Pulwama district.
Legal actions, he affirmed, would be taken against anyone found involved in such illicit activities.
“Police is committed to secure innocent people but criminals involved in drug peddling or terrorism will not be spared,” he said, urging residents to actively engage with both the civil administration and the police to ensure the security and progress of the region.
Local residents expressed gratitude for SSP Pulwama’s commitment to public interaction and initiatives aimed at fostering a safer and thriving district.
The meeting was organized by the Kakapora police station and saw active participation of DSP Kakapora Majid Ali, SHO Kakapora, Latif Ahmed, and other senior police officers.
A diverse assembly of senior citizens and youth from various corners of Kakapora tehsil converged at the meeting, utilising the platform to voice their complaints and demands directly to senior officials of Pulwama Police.
SSP Pulwama Muhammad Yousuf assured the public that their grievances will be promptly addressed.
