Bandipora, Dec 10: A 16-year-old girl, Arbeen Tahir from Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has written a manuscript of the holy Quran in six months by hand on nine hundred pages.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, she proclaimed that it had always been her dream since she was a child to painstakingly transcribe the Quran. “Alhamdulillah, I am blessed to have transcribed the entire Quran in nine hundred pages in a span of six months,” she rejoiced.
She continued that the initial endeavor she took on was accomplished in half a year without any assistance from an experienced instructor. “This handwritten Quran encompasses 900 Sheets. I started writing from first of June and completed the project by ending November,” she said.
Arbeen said she initially began her calligraphy practice simply to refine her handwriting. She began with a portion of the Quran and discovered pleasure in doing so, prompting her to finish the calligraphy of the Quran.
“My kinfolk and parents wholeheartedly backed me in the process. I would like to express my appreciation to my cousin, Dr. Seerat Wani, who is my motivation and she assisted me and reinforced my ethical standards,” she further said.
Talking about her upcoming work, she said that she is currently writing a book which she has named “Tragedy of Innocence” and it will be out soon.
