Srinagar, Apr 17: Under the dynamic leadership of Prof.(Dr) Tehmina Yousuf, Principal, and NSS Officer Dr Farhat Hassan, Srinagar Women’s College, Batpora, Zakura, orchestrated a transformative event aimed at combatting drug abuse and fostering a drug-free society.
The event, a pivotal component of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’, witnessed an impressive turnout of students, faculty, and community members who united in their commitment to rid society of the scourge of drug addiction. Central to the event was the unveiling of a Signature Wall initiative, where participants pledged their dedication to a drug-free future, symbolizing a collective resolve against substance abuse.
Beyond the symbolic gestures, the event featured a series of informative sessions and workshops meticulously curated to educate attendees about the perils of drug addiction and the imperative of rehabilitation. By facilitating open dialogues and disseminating crucial information, the initiative aimed to raise awareness and empower individuals to make informed choices regarding substance use.
The outcome of the event was nothing short of remarkable, with heightened awareness, strengthened community bonds, and a palpable sense of responsibility pervading amongst participants. The resounding success of the campaign underscores Srinagar Women’s College’s unwavering commitment to social welfare and its proactive stance in championing a healthier, drug-free nation.
This event stands as a testament to the transformative power of collective action and serves as a beacon of hope in the ongoing battle against drug abuse.
