Baramulla, Mar05: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), an Indian Premier League franchise, has called up a budding cricketer from Sopore in Baramulla, Aamir Feroze, for trials.
The call came just weeks after Jasia Akhter was bought by the franchise for the maiden Women’s Premier League.
Aamir Feroze, who has been playing outside of Kashmir for several years now, said he has been a net bowler for Indian star cricketer Rahul Tripathi at the Pune-based Cricket Academy, Deccan Gymkhana, where the Lucknow Super Giants recognized him for the trials.
“I never had dreamt that one day I could reach this level where I will be called to represent such a big platform,” said Aamir.
While expressing his jubilation over the call for trials Amir said that he will fight and put all his efforts into making his name appear on the ultimate list one day.
Aamir’s opportunity has given him new wings, and he sees this milestone as a challenge to work towards.
In a message to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, Aamir urged youth to come forward, be sports lovers, and be the change.
“Sports can replace the depression and anxiety that is rising in J&K and youth should boost sports and actively participate in sports-related activities, which will only help them grow mentally and professionally and can change their career as well,” Aamir added.
Lucknow Super Giants is a franchise cricket team based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The franchise play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was formed in 2021.
