Srinagar, Feb 20: Two final-year students of architecture from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) made a remarkable presentation at the “International Conference on Religious Architecture” organised by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna.
The conference was held as part of the BCE-NIT Patna Centenary Year Celebration (1924-2024). Her research highlighted the powerful synergy between the sacred and computational. Reha Shiv Bharti presented her research paper on “Biophilia in Sacred Spaces: Harmony between Nature and Spirituality,” examining how worship areas can be revitalized via the careful incorporation of nature. Her research encouraged cultural sensitivity, community involvement, and enhanced health and spirituality.
Both students’ research papers were presented under the guidance of Ar. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor, School of Architecture and Landscape Design. As a testament to their outstanding work, they have been given the opportunity to publish their research papers in a peer-reviewed journal.
Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SMVDU, and Ar.
