Srinagar, July 18: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Commissioner on Thursday suspended In-Charge (I/C) Assistant Secretary Council/Assistant Secretary Personnel Hilal Ahmad Shah.
The suspension comes amid an ongoing inquiry into Shah’s conduct, according to an official order issued by Dr. Owais Ahmed, Commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
The order, No. 508 of 2024, states that “Mr. Shah is suspended with immediate effect and reassigned to the office of the Joint Commissioner Works. During the period of his suspension, Mr. Abdul Rashid Thakur, who is currently the I/C Stores Officer at SMC, will take on the additional responsibilities of I/C Assistant Secretary Personnel alongside his existing duties until further notice.”
