Anantnag, July 20: Secretary Revenue and Nodal Officer for ShriAmarnathjiYatra via Pahalgam Axis, DrPiyushSingla, conducted a virtual meeting on Thursday with DC Anantnag, Dr Syed Fakruddin Hamid, and other government officials stationed at the Panchtarni campsite, to assess the arrangements for the smooth ShriAmarnathJiYatra 2023.
During the meeting, DrSingla expressed satisfaction with the progress of the yatra and extended his appreciation to all stakeholders for their collaborative efforts in ensuring the safety and comfort of the pilgrims.
He lauded the District Administration for their dedication towards facilitating a secure Yatra.
“As the AmarnathYatra progresses, we remain committed to closely monitoring the arrangements and addressing any challenges that may arise promptly. The collective determination of the authorities and stakeholders involved underscores their dedication to making this year’s AmarnathYatra a resounding success,” Singlasaid , adding that Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and the Shrine Board are meticulously overseeing all the arrangements.
Meanwhile, the ‘YatraMitra’ team received special appreciation from Nodal Officer during the meeting for their relentless support and assistance in ensuring a smooth and clean pilgrimage journey for the devotees, contributing significantly to the overall success of this year’s Yatra.
During the meeting, camp Director Panchtarni, Thakur Sher Singh, briefed the attendees about the current arrangements in place to cater to the needs of the pilgrims, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the Yatra.
Deputy Commissioner,Anantnag assured wholehearted support from the district administration to facilitate the Yatra and maintain a harmonious environment for all pilgrims. He emphasized continuous monitoring of Yatra related activities, including security, travel, and sanitation.
‘YatraMitra’ is an initiative launched during SANJY 2022 by the Camp Director Panchtarni. It provides round-the-clock assistance in shifting patients from the campsite to the Base Hospital, evacuation of patients from the Base Hospital to the Helipad for further transportation to other hospitals via helicopter, guidance to yatris to their desired destinations, and promotion of cleanliness.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Camp Directors, Nodal Officer Sanitation, Incharge Base Hospital, Panchtarni, Commandant ITBP, Asst Commandant, BSF, along with Union Presidents of Dandiwalas, Pitthoowalas, and Ponywalas, who also actively participated in the meeting.
