RPFC Jammu chairs convergence meeting on labour welfare initiatives

Jammu, Feb 29: Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC-I) at the Regional Office (RO) Jammu, Rizwan Uddin on Thursday presided over a significant convergence meeting involving various verticals of the Ministry of Labour and Employment. 
The meeting, attended by esteemed officials including Dr Pankaj Rastogi, Regional Director (IC) of DTNBWED, RO Jammu, Dushyant Pande, Deputy Director of ESIC, RO Jammu, and Ajay Kumar, LEO Central, Jammu, focused on crucial matters pertaining to ensuring social security for eligible members and their families in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. 
During the meeting, the benefits of implementing regular working hours flexibly were emphasized. “A dedicated team from the EPFO Regional Office Jammu, led by Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I, has been diligently working during early hours to manage the influx of claims,” an official said in a statement. 
Notably, Sanjeev Kumar, SSSA, processed sixteen death cases on February 28, 2024, ensuring timely disbursal of amounts to the beneficiaries. Ashwani Kumar, Programmer, and Sanjeev Kumar, SSSA, were felicitated for their exceptional contributions towards assisting poor subscribers during flexi-hours at the RO Jammu. Their commendable efforts were acknowledged in the presence of Dr Pankaj Rastogi, Dushyant Pande and Ajay Kumar. 
Moreover, grievances raised during the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 event held on February 27, 2024, at BBIA Conference Hall Bari Brahmana were promptly addressed and resolved by February 29, 2024. Noteworthy settlements include the pension claim of Late Sarwan Kumar Sharma of FIL Industries, along with pension and death claims of Late Pawan Sharma, Inderjit Singh, and Late Shakti Kumar of Sudhir Genset. 
The convergence meeting served as a platform to discuss and strategize essential initiatives aimed at ensuring social security and welfare for workers and their families in the region.
