RO offices designated for assembly constituencies in Kulgam, Anantnag

Anantnag, Aug 20: Returning Officer for the upcoming Assembly elections in Kulgam and Anantnag districts issued a notification on Tuesday, inviting nominations as per the Election Commission’s guidelines. The notification also announced the designated locations for candidates to submit their applications.
According to official orders, under the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961 (Statutory Rules and Orders), candidates for the 40 Devsar Assembly constituency can submit their nomination papers at the Tehsil Office in Devsar, which has been designated as the RO/ARO location.
The nomination submissions will be accepted between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., except on holidays, until August 27.
For the 38 D. H. Pora Assembly constituency, nominations can be submitted at the SDM Noorabad office, while for the 39 Kulgam Assembly constituency, the meeting hall at the Tehsil Office in Kulgam has been designated as the submission location.
In Anantnag district, which includes seven constituencies, similar arrangements have been made. Nomination papers for the 41-Dooru constituency can be submitted at the SDM office in Dooru, for 42-Kokernag (ST reserved) at the SDM office in Kokernag, for 43-Anantnag West at the ACD office in Anantnag, for 44-Anantnag Assembly constituency at the ACR office, for 45-Srigufwara-Bijbehara at the SDM office in Bijbehara, for 46-Shangus-Anantnag East at the BDO office in Khoveripora Mattan, and for 47-Pahalgam at the SDM office in Pahalgam.
Meanwhile, Returning Officers (ROs) held media briefings to share the notification and invited candidates to submit their nomination forms by 3 p.m. upto August 27.
