Jammu, Feb 8: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Saturday said that recognising the talent and celebrating excellence is essential for nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. He also said that the events like Big Impact Awards are crucial in acknowledging the efforts of those who have not only contributed to the growth of their respective sectors but also to the social fabric of the society,
Omar was speaking as a chief guest at the grand event of BIG FM in Jammu. BIG FM, one of India’s leading radio networks, hosted the third edition of the ‘Big Impact Awards’ in Jammu, recognising industry leaders and their remarkable contributions to the city’s growth and development.
The prestigious awards ceremony, held at Hotel Radisson, was graced by the chief Minister, who attended as the chief guest. The evening began with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising progress and growth, before the stage unfolded to celebrate excellence across diverse sectors. Recognising the outstanding efforts of individuals and businesses in fields such as automotive, real estate, hospitality, health and wellness, education, fashion, and lifestyle, the event spotlighted those who have made a lasting impact on society.
In his address, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship in driving economic resilience and fostering innovation in Jammu and Kashmir. “Recognising talent and celebrating excellence is essential for nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. Such events are crucial in acknowledging the efforts of those who have not only contributed to the growth of their respective sectors but also to the social fabric of our society,” Omar said.
Sunil Kumaran, COO of BIG FM, expressed his excitement about the third edition of the awards, highlighting the network’s commitment to celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship. “The BIG IMPACT AWARDS continue to be a platform that recognizes both emerging and established business leaders. It is a tribute to the vision, resilience, and excellence that shape our future,” Kumaran said.
The event was supported by several notable partners, including JK Public School as the Title Partner, Badri Mal Ram Charan as the Presenting Partner, and other Associate Sponsors like Creambell, Shalimar Cattle Feeds, and Desh Bhagat University. The awards ceremony also saw the recognition of several industry leaders, including Suraj Kumar Bansal of Saraswati Group of Companies, Dr. Imran Muzaffar of Florence Hospital, Raman Gupta of Tiles & Bath, and Dr. Shahbaz Singh of Amandeep Hospital, among many others. Each awardee was celebrated for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their dedication to making a positive impact in the community.
The event highlighted the continuous growth and innovation within Jammu’s business and social sectors, with BIG FM reaffirming its role as a key catalyst in fostering meaningful change across the region. The BIG IMPACT AWARDS will soon expand to other major cities, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Kolkata, in the coming months.
